A Perfect Gauge Action on Anisotropic Lattices

abstract

We investigate the possibility of creating an anisotropic perfect gauge
action for SU(3) gauge theory. This can be done in an analogous manner
to the creation of our newly parametrized isotropic FP action, or it
may be constructed in one single step starting with the isotropic
result. The resulting action may be parametrized similarly using an
ansatz including anisotropically APE-like smeared links.
On anisotropic lattices, where generally the spatial lattice spacing
is rather coarse, a parametrized perfect action could help reducing
lattice artefacts considerably.
