- At $y=0$, domain wall fermions develop mirror chiral modes at the waveguide
boundaries. On the other hand, at $y \sim 1$, we have found no extra mirror
chiral modes anywhere. In this study, we investigate the region $0 < y < 1$.
For small lattices, the numerical data seem to indicate presence of these
mirror modes. We show that on sufficiently large lattices, there is again
no indication of any extra mirror modes in addition to the ones at the domain
and antidomain wall. Hence, we conclude that for any $y > 0$ the model presents
a lattice regularization of an abelian chiral gauge theory.
