abstract
In the reduced model limit, we carry out at $y = 1$ a WCPT to 1-loop for the
chiral fermion propagators and for the mixing of the opposite chiral modes
at the domain and antidomain wall. Mixing of chiral modes is found to be
exponentially damped and as a result no fermion mass counterterm is needed.
By comparing with nonperturbative numerical results, we conclude that (at $y=1$)
inspite of the presence of longitudinal gauge degrees of freedom in action,
the fermion spectrum of the model is that of a free domain wall fermion, i.e.
consisting only of opposite chiral modes at the domain and antidomain wall.
The model is ready for nonperturbative investigation with the transverse
$U(1)$ gauge fields.
